We’re not all Electricians… But lets try.

We’re not all Electricians, but lets try.  And minimize damage to your gear en route.

There’s a great article by James Cadwallader over at ProSoundWeb.com about one of his installs, that had a historical problem with system noise.

The Accidental Electrician

I’ve been in this situation many times… Cheap Cables, Snakes, Power Conditioners, ect are mostly to blame.

Lessons to be learned?

Use (or learn to be) an Electrician with an Audio Background.

Don’t cheap out on the small stuff.  Saving $10 on a cable can cause nightmares, and a trip back to buy that $20 Cable.

Leave Ground Lifts and Cheap power conditioners to those who don’t know better.  You should know better after this.
