Universal Audio has announced a Laptop (express card) version of their UAD-2 Solo DSP card.
This UAD-2 Solo/Laptop card will include all the features of the PCIe card, except in an Express Card format to bring Universal Audio DSP acceleration and quality Analog Emulation to a laptop near you.

- RealVerb Pro Room Modeler
- CS-1 Channel Strip
- Offers access to the entire Powered Plug-In Librairy
The UAD-2 Solo/Laptop will bring these plugins and many more available from Universal Audio to your DAW in VST, AU, and RTAS plugins. Also, this is Mac and PC compatible, as long as there is a Express Card slot available.
ExpressCard is a replacement to PCMCIA laptop card slots, and is present on most current high/mid grade laptops, as well as Apple’s Macbook Pro 17″.
