Softube Release Trident A-Range EQ Plug-In

Softube has been creating Software Emulations of Amps and Classic Audio Equipment for some time now from classic reverbs and compressors to amps and cabinets… And now they’ve moved to THE classic reverb… Trident’s A-Range EQ.

Lets take a look at the Trident A-Range EQ and Softube’s Emulation Plug-In.

The History of the Trident A-Range

The Trident A-Range Recording Console was initially built by Trident Studios in London in the late 60′s and was the beginning of everything we know as Trident Audio Developments… Once the results of their console was heard studios around the world wanted the same consoles… Hence, Trident Audio Developments was born.

The Softube Plugin is 100% based on channel 15 of the trident A-Range Console from Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark… Where their Trident A-Range was used with such artists as Metallica, Cat Stevens and Ringo Star…

The Trident A-Range not only carries the impressive resume of Metallica, Cat Stevens and Ringo Star… But also just a few clients of the original A-Range Console in Trident Studios in London include Elton John for his first album, David Bowie’s Space Oddity, and The Beatle’s Hey Jude.

The Trident A-Range console’s EQ is now known as the “Holy Grail” of EQ sections and is renown as one of the most musical EQ’s ever made.

Softube’s Trident A-Range Plug-In
