So, the M-Audio Luna II has been shipping for a few weeks now, and it seems the reviews are all positive!
The M-Audio Luna has been a much celebrated all-purpose entry mic for years, and the M-Audio Luna II
is a great step up for the M-Audio Luna Line.
The M-Audio Luna II is definitely still an All Purpose microphone, but no longer an entry mic. With a price point from $319-$400 (compared to the original Luna $129-$250) its definitely for someone who wants to add an all purpose condenser to their cabinet.
With a 1.1 inch Evaporated Gold Diaphragm, the M-Audio Luna II can easily be used for a Voice (Podcasting Anyone?), Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drums, or just about anything else. The mic also touts a -10dB pad, to make its maximum handleable SPL 140dB.
I have NOT gotten my hands on this microphone yet, but the Luna I was a favorite of mine for its price range, and i have great hopes for the M-Audio Luna II.
