Lexicon, maker of fine outboard gear found in racks world wide, is at it again. Recently released is their newest foray into rack mountable units, the PCM 92.
The PCM92 is the little independent brother to the PCM96… But we’ll go over that a little later. What you need to know is the PCM92 is the product of Lexicon’s long standing line of outboard gear, including the PCM81 and PCM 91…

PCM92 vs PCM96
These two units are closely related, but complete opposites. While the PCM 92 is stand-alone and meant for live or outboard usage, the PCM96 is NOT.
The PCM96, which all of the algorithms for the 92 are taken from, is meant for studio use. It can be used as an extension, controller, and processing mule for the PCM96 Plugin for a DAW.
