The Fish Fillets, by Sascha Eversmeier at digitalfishphones.com is a Free Bundle of 3 dynamics plug-ins that are available as VST or AU for Mac or PC and is compatible with just about any DAW.
The bundle consists of Three different plug-ins, BlockFish, SpitFish, and FloorFish… Lets take a look at them.
BlockFish
BlockFish is two compressors in one… The first being a simple to use compressor, with a user interface that makes things simple… Underneath is a whole other compressor…
On the underbelly of BlockFish is the innards.. BlockFish allows you to take off the lid of your compressor and adjust normally hidden elements, such as the low cut, air freq, air level, opto memory, sat emph and dynamic saturation.
SpitFish
SpitFish is simple de-esser offers a center freq, sensitivity level (along with hard/soft options) and a depth setting… Simple to use, with great results.
FloorFish
FloorFish is a expander/gate with some flexibility. It has your standard Expander/Gate features like a variable detection frequency, sensitivity, expansion, attack and release, but also lets you go one step farther.
The flexibility comes in with FloorFish’s unique feature which allows you to scan the source and adjust the transition curve to taste.
