DiGiCo has recently announced and released their newest, smallest, and yes, most affordable console to date. The DiGiCo S8-24.
The S8-24′s trick up it’s sleeve is it’s processing power… All FPGA Based (what is this? to Wikipedia!). One FPGA chip can harness more processing power than a whole traditional array of DSP Chips.
