Crests New E-Lite Power Amp Series

Crest has introduced the two Amps in their new line of Amps, the Crest E-Lite Series.

The first two amps in this new E-Lite series are the E-Lite 1800 and E-Lite 1800DSP models… Two nearly identical amps, one with DSP and one without.

The Tech Specs – Both Amps

Here’s a little run down of what these two amps have in common… then we’ll go over the DSP features of the E-Lite 1800DSP

  • Parallel, Bridge, or Stereo Modes
  • Independent Crossovers Per Channel
  • Combination XLR and 1/4″ Inputs
  • XLR Thru Connector
  • Speakon Output (NL4)
  • Solid Performance Down to 2 Ohms
  • 900W Per Channel at 2 Ohms
  • 530W Per Channel at 4 Ohms
  • 300W Per Channel at 8 Ohms
  • 1800W when Bridges at 4 Ohms
  • Weighs 10 Lbs
  • D Class Design
  • Automatic Clip Limiting

The Crest E-Lite DSP

Here’s what runs in the DSP…

  • 0-120ms Delay Per Channel
  • Crossover
  • Adjustable Limiter
  • Parametric EQ
  • HF Driver EQ
  • Four User Preset Storage Slots
  • Stereo/Mono Settings for all of the DSP
  • User Lockable
  • USB Port to Load/Save Presets
  • LCD Screen for Adjustments
  • Waves MaxxBass Extension Technology
    • Adjust from 0-100%
    • Uses Psycho Acoustics to create precise harmonic overtones that give the perceived effect of adding low frequencies.

While no price has been announced, for the cutting edge of Crest’s Power Amps, I’m sure there’ll be a decent price tag on the 10 Pound E-Lite Series.
