Auralex has announced the newest of their products (and in this case, services), Room Analysis Plus.
Room Analysis Plus is a $299 kit that includes a Behringer ECM8000 measurement microphone, and a USB thumb drive with a 20 Hz- 20 kHz sweeping sine wave wave file.
For $299 you you not only this equipment, but also the attached service.
There is a form to fill out, and you must email this form and a recording (presumably from the mix posistion) of the included file to them for analysis, a report, and suggestions (to buy everything they make).

For the record, i DO NOT like auralex. Over priced (Huge profit at retailers, not including their share) with mediocre results. This kit just gives the last sentence even more justice.
If you really want to setup your room, buy the Behringer RTA mic, purchase a very basic RTA (to double check your ears) and listen to your control room. Hang carpets/draperies in areas that are highly reflective.

I’m debating a do it yourself acoustics series… any interest?
I’d be very interested in a do it yourself acoustic series. I’m always looking for ways to improve the sound in our studio without throwing down a lot of money.
